Anyone else constantly have red eyes, and does it ever go away?

about four days after initial EM rash my eyes became so bloodshot (like a person who has been up all night drinking or doing drugs) and has remained that way for the past 7 weeks! I use visine, it helps a little, but still so red!

Hi Lymepilot!-

I wonder if you have Bartonella? Bartonella is a co infection. I have read that Bartonella likes the eyes.

I get stabbing pains in and behind my eyes.

Do the bottom of your feet hurt?
I don't get this a lot, but sometimes the bottom of my feet are sore especially in the morning.

Do your shins hurt?
I felt stabbing pain in my shins.

Since symptoms of Lyme, Bartonella, and Babesia over lap so much it can be hard to tell what symptoms are from what. Some of the standout symptoms of Bartonella are: eyes, feet, shins.

Because of my early onset of neuro issues a lot of people have suggested I look into Bart.

Symptoms to date :

Lightheadedness
Brain Fog
Fatigue
Tinnitus (mostly gone)
Red/Bloodshot eyes
Muscle Twitch - Happens everywhere but especially calf, knees and thighs and hamstrings.

No issues with soles of feet.

Waiting on getting Bart and Babs blood work back, but if it's a negative I'm sure my ID will take that for fave value and move on. Hoping to address the co-infections and diagnose based on symptoms when I meet with two different LLMD's next month.

Edit: Very early into this I really felt like
Something was up with my eyes. Pinpoint pupils for a couple days, and although no one else agrees, I swore one of my eyes was a touch lazy. When I looked in the mirror had a very difficult time seeing both eyes looking back at me, felt like I had to just focus on one because the other was off (reflection)

Yep, red bloodshot eyes and bags! I did not use anything, but I had to tell everyone that I was sick and not stoned.

Yes. Red eyes that frequently feel like they are burning.

Yes it started for me several years post Lyme diagnosis, and has been diagnosed as Uveitis, the last Ophthalmologist that saw me when I was having a really bad episode asked if it was caused by the Lyme, and I told him that I always believed it to be so. I was glad at least to have a doc agree with what I know.
My eyes would go blood red and it would last for weeks or months. I carried several bottles of eye drops wherever I went. Then I might have months without a problem.
I knew what worked to clear them but found it difficult to prescribe it, actually the urgent care doc understands but can not treat Lyme, he has horses and is active and seems to get it when I ask for something.
I would need Doxycycline, steroid eye drops and about 3 days of prednisone and they would clear up, which is why I knew that it was more than likely Lyme causing the Uveitis.
It has been over 2 years since I have had an episode, and during these 2 years I was post radiation for breast cancer, the radiation brought my Lyme back to the surface tenfold. I started having to take multiple antibiotics together, and this seems to have cleared it from my eyes. I was mostly using Doxy, Azithromycin and Bactrim. I am so happy not to need to carry eye drops and running to the bathroom every half hour just to be presentable enough to work and not scare anyone! Or all the explanations, no this is not a bad case of pinkeye.
So for me, about 20 years of dealing with this every few months may hopefully be behind me.

Yes, bloodshot eyes and dark bags under my eyes. This is a relatively new symptom- the past few months. Look like I'm stoned. Usually not so bad in the morning.
