Hi all,
I've been on antibiotic treatment for Lyme/Bab since July 30 2015. A lot of my symptoms have cleared up, my LLMD is very good
, she treats similar to Jemsek. Anyways, we have gone on to the biofilm part of the protocol. I'm on xylitol and lactoferin for that. And as it turns out, I've got a lot of bad stuff hiding in my biofilm. We think I've had lyme for at least 3-5 years, probably longer, and maybe since birth. about
4 years back, I kept getting these cases of strep throat (or what we though was strep, probably lyme...) every 2-3 months. And these strep throat cases would require antibiotics, 10 days of treatment. My theory is; those antibiotics drove a lot of the lyme into the biofilm, and we are just now releasing all that lyme to be killed.
I can only handle a 1/8tsp-1/4tsp of the xylitol, and even that I can barely manage 5 days. My grandmother, who also has lyme, I think takes 4tsp. If I were to take that much, it would not surprise me of I literally died within a few hours. It would just be so miserable...
So I'm thinking of adding in some herbs to the treatment. My LLMD said she'd love to try it, she's
open to a lot of ideas. I just don't think the antibiotics can combat this alone, and with school starting on Monday, I need a little extra boost to kill off the lyme quickly. I don't know, I guess I'm just looking to try something different now it seems I have run into a brick wall.
Has anyone else tried both at the same time? I'm just overwhelmed by all of this and would like opinions from a forum I trust.
Also, one last thing to add in, in late October I will be starting the bart. part of the protocol.
