LLMD in MD needed

My Dad, who lives in Maryland, needs an LLMD. His 3 weeks of Doxy from his PCP didn't work. His eye doctor wants him to see a rheumatologist to get on something "systemic" because his eye inflammation is not improving. I have a feeling they will want to put him on the standard immune system suppressant drugs, since before he was diagnosed with Lyme, they said he was autoimmune.

Interesting thing is, he got a secondary infection of Vibrio (usually an oyster disease) due to his Lyme-weakened immune system. They put his on Cipro for that, for 1 week, and he felt better. Then after going off it he felt worse. This leads me to believe he has a co-infection of Bartonella, since the Quinolones are known to be Effective for Bartonella.

He needs a good LLMD who can get him on the right treatment to help him put the Lyme and Co in remission. Thanks!

Knowing my Dad, I think he would be more receptive to physically going into an office, and probably going the antibiotic route. I don't live near him so I'm not able to put together an herbal protocol and make him take it (like I'm doing for my wife). Plus he had a heart doctor that told him not to take any herbs due to his arrhythmia and he seems to want to follow that advice.

I am looking for an LLMD that takes insurance in the Hudson Valley NYC area . I have had Lyme 8 times, all with a bulls eye rash but minimal antibody levels. Most were cured with a course of doxycycline except for my last case of lyme a little over a year ago. My disease seems to be ongoing. It is now a little over a year later and I have two IGg positives, 30 and 41 and high RA. My joints are painful especially my left knee (where it started). Additionally I have tremors and one viral sickness after another. and other immune and musculoskeletal symptoms.
My PCP does not think I have Lyme and would like me to see a rheumatologist and I am hoping I can find one that is an LLMD. I will travel!

OK I will start a new thread. I live in an area that is highly endemic for Lyme and I have had to work very hard ridding my house and landscape from them. They are all new infections. For 5 of the lymes bites I was treated sucessfully with amoxicillin, 2 sucessfully with Doxycycline (3 weeks) including a case of neuro lyme I had for 9 years before being treated sucessfully for increasingly debilitating symptoms. This last case did not yield to doxy (after 6 weeks of treatment) and I am left with symptoms of swollen joints etc of increasing severity. I am not sure this is a relapsing case or a never cured case of lyme. One tick bite was not a Black legged tick, the kind that usually carries Lyme and I had Neuro symptoms which were not cleared up until I had Clindamycin for 10 days (2 months after the bite). My PCP does not believe in the Lyme being an emergency and says so on all their automatic messages. They are anything but LLMDs. I have had to go elsewhere to get treated for the difficult long term cases.
