Monolaurin/ Lauricidin

What brand of Monolaurin do you recommend? Is it on Amazon or an external site ?

We use coconut oil/manna for the Lauric acid which converts to monolaurin in the body. Good for lots of things. Use the manna on toast, some put dab in coffee, great on a sweet potato, delicious on hot oatmeal. We'd rather get ours this way as the body will chose to use what it wants or how much it wants. There are many brands in the health food stores and some even tell you on the label the % of Lauric it contains. (We find it helpful). (Great on dry skin and hair ). Be well friend. Pat

I use the Inspired Nutrition brand. I had used tons of coconut oil over the years and assumed I was getting it that way. However I've never herxed at all from coconut oil despite consuming fairly large amounts.

With monolaurin I herxed pretty hard initially for a week or two when ramping up the dosage past 3000mg. They recommend 3000-9000 mg a day for conditions like Lyme.

I know we are all unique but what were you herxes like? I took supplemental monolaurin when I was healing candida and couldn't tolerate it. Didn't know much about herxing back then so maybe it was a herx.

Huddie - I took 1000mg capsules of Monolaurin a while back and never noticed anything. It was only once I got the Inspired Nutrition stuff and worked my way up past 3000mg that it made me herx.

I had a lot of chest wall pain, and then a flare up in back pain along with normal herx type feelings. It seems to kill a lot of different stuff so not sure what that was. It eventually resolved with the monolaurin and also anti-parasitics.

Blue - I'm doing roxithromycin and tinidazole together now. They seem to hit whatever's left in my brain and jaw. It just seems like I've been herxing for 4 years and there is still stuff left to kill. I've made progress in a number of ways but I only have so much $ and willpower to push on.
