Anyone get crazy itching bouts? this has been happening since i tried a new abx (which i stopped a week ago) its so annoying its almost painful. its not an allergic reaction i think, as there is no raised rash, it feels more like nerve issues (a great deal of my lyme is nuro) im back on my old abx now and its still going on, but not as bad.
anyone else know if this can be a herx symptom? i sometimes itched before i had any treatment once i got sick, but it wasn't 24/7 ( it was a few days a week and maybe lasted 15 mins at a time.)

It happed to me when i was doing lots of andrographis and they gave me fentonal .i thoughtbis was houtyna but i still dont know. What abx dodbyou have it with. ? I think its bartonella .i couldnt stand being in my skin ..high dose vit c is the only thing that helped ..maybe its histamine to dead bacteria

My daughter got it and the doc said that it is from the liver which is overloaded. He prescribed something to clean the liver and told us to detox more. It helped. But maybe your case is different.

Just as an FYI....you don't always have present with a rash for it to be an allergic reaction.

And yes, itching can be related to herxing. Try more detox methods and see if it helps.

I get this off and on. Toxins can come through the skin and make it itchy. For example a dialysis patient still has a toxic overload and they are almost always itchy and needing lots of Benadryl. It may be that the antibiotic you were on caused more die off and that is causing the itching, it could be the liver needing detoxing, or actually be an allergy as Krimpet said.
Sometimes for me it candida, esp if I am on antibiotics, and I need Diflucan. It also helps if I take some Benadryl and soak in a tub with the giant box of baking soda poured in along with several large bottles of hydrogen peroxide.
