Rifampin seems to be the most commonly used abx.
Some have treated with Bactrim - but my opinion is this is not usually 'enough' for most - unless it's caught early on.
...and then there are the Fluoroquinolones - they come with a black box warning of a risk of tendon rupture. More recently another risk of peripheral neuropathy has been added to the black box warning.
Personally, I wouldn't use them ... unless I was desperate.
Dr. MR lists combining a Tetracycline abx with a Macrolide as an option, but again I don't think it works for a long standing chronic case of Bart.
