Back in those days from when I first got infected until menopause my cramps got so horrible a sudden bad cramp would throw me up against a wall in pain. And they lasted longer than usual, but a decade later I quit having them. Now my daughter's have been horribly painful too, and just continue to get worse. She's 35 now. She's not been able to carry a baby full term, and lost them all at varying stages. She had also been having trouble with ovarian cysts. I think the Lyme must have gone for her reproductive organs straight away because there were times I'd taken her to the e.r. for severe pain in that area, years before she ever started her period. E.R. docs are useless most of the time. All of her hormones went bananas when she turned 18. Horrible year.
She still hasn't gotten a definite Lyme diagnosis, only Fibromyalgia, like me. But she is convinced now from what I've sent her to read, we are in the same Lyme boat.
Got to clarify my "only Fibro" comment for myself. My pos. Lyme in 92ish was pooh-poohed by the Dr. at that time. I did end up with 2 pos. RMSF diagnosis last year. 2 separate tests.
