Hi Cplyme,
Welcome to our community! I'm so glad you found us.
I would really encourage you to read through our "New to Lyme?" thread, as it's packed with helpful information. You'll find an extensive Lyme symptom list that may be quite useful for you, among lots of other information.
As for your parents, because these infections are so wide spread and under recognized, of course it's possible that they could have these infections as well, but not necessarily. What you described for your dad may or may not be related to these infections. Those bumps on his head and face might be from an infection called Bartonella, but it doesn't sound like the typical presentation of Bart, so do encourage him to get it checked out.
For many of us, once we suspect or know we have Lyme, we often begin to "see Lyme" in many people. I know I have. The thing is, that the symptoms can be caused by a number of things, so it's always best to be sure it's not something else, especially with your dad's symptoms.
Please do let us know what he is told at the clinic today though, and we can hopefully help you decipher from the information he gets, if he too should pursue testing and treatment for these infections.
