Has it been about 3 weeks since your test? That is generally a ball-park time frame for the test results.

Just remember, a negative doesn't mean you don't have Lyme.

Conversely, a positive doesn't guarantee Lyme is causing your symptoms, just that at one point in your life, you were exposed to Borrelia burgdorferi.

You really don't know anything until you start treating.

Congratuladolences ...i was igenix positive cdc negative ...however i cried when i saw the spirochete under a microscope. Our enemy has a name now ! Karate drop kick some borrelia butt..also it almost never travels alone. ...if you need a positive ..dna connexions has not had any negative results with my doc

Agreed. Anyone that tests positive - and has never had treatment has the bacteria in their body. All it takes is some stress to bring it up to an active infection that will damage every part of the body.

Having the bacteria in your body does not guarantee that the bacteria are what is causing the symptoms (albeit, it'd be a significant coincidence if they weren't).

IGENEX is telling you whether you have had the bacteria in your body, not what is causing your symptoms.

Someone with a dormant Lyme infection is still susceptible to other illnesses/diseases.

Again, I, like everyone else, is going under the assumption that the bacteria are causing symptoms... but it's still an assumption, even if in most cases, it's a good, and likely correct, assumption.

I know it's difficult waiting for those results.
