I've been on 1 minocycline for about a week and just starting taking 2 yesterday. I got out of work a few hours ago and began having insane brain fog. Like borderline don't even know what I'm doing, and i'm very confused. A little scared because i've never felt like this before in my life. I have been very very out of it for the last few hours. Please let me know if anyone else has experienced this, or something similar.

Tick41 it sounds very much like a herx reaction. Remember every time we make a change in protocol we typically have some type of reaction. The 2nd antibiotic is killing off more, thus you have more debris to exit out of your body.

Up your detox.

What are you doing for detox?

Tick - minocycline penetrates the blood/brain barrier quite well...so I think it could very well be hitting something in your CNS.
Also, some of the side effects of mino are 'head' stuff - dizziness, headaches, etc.

You might want to place an order for Nutramedix Pinella and Burbur
The pinella is a brain-nerve cleanse..and the Burbur is a detox.

I take them together.

you should add some binder, for example activated charcoal

I'm really sorry you are going through this. Herxing is awful. Did you have this only with the two pills? In other words maybe you aren't ready for the higher dosage yet? I was just given mino for bart but haven't started yet. Still deciding since all pain went away want to wait for cos tests/IgenX testing to come back first.

Please keep us posted on how you are doing.
