I found it shocking how similar the symptoms of candida and Lyme are. It seems to me that llmds should warn their patients of these similarities due to the fact that the abx they prescribe will make candida much worse. I had no idea I could possibly have candida until I stumbled over its symptoms. I've had a white film on my tongue as long as I can remember, always been pretty gassy as well, some solid athletes foot, toe fungus, and jock itch to boot. I had all these symptoms before starting Lyme treatment. Never any mention of candida from either of the two llmds I went to. It seems like it should be a standard to check for this before jumping into hardcore abx. I will be going on the candida diet to see if I feel any improvement.
You actually had/have two kinds of yeast infections. The athlete's feet one kind, the oral thrush another.
Did you ever go to a Dr. for them for treatment? Candida and yeast infections are often interchangeable terms generally speaking.
I've had to ask for an anti-yeast medication from my Dr. after taking some kinds of abx in the past before I ever started treating for RMSF.
Diet is the very first thing to look at with yeast over growth.
When you first went to either of those two LLMD's, did you list those issues on your list of health issues, or only what you thought was related to Lyme?
