Rikky, I am a horrible one to answer this. I so dislike tests. Especially expensive tests.
I always ask myself before submitting to a test "if they find something, can they correct it?" Otherwise, it is just a test of no use, in my opinion. Just a piece of paper for my file.
So, if they pinpoint where your inflammation is, what treatments will they do at those pinpointed areas?
I certainly would ask the doctor that question.
I submitted to a brain scan when I had lyme head pain because they thought it might be a brain tumor and for a brain tumor, some are very operable. I submitted to knee MRIs because the outcome would tell how degenerated my knees were and how close to needing surgery I am.
Always consider what will you do with the outcome of the test.
Maybe eating a anti-inflammatory diet would be a good idea??? Just guessing, I'm certainly not a doctor.
Best of luck deciding this one.
