3 weeks into antibiotics and no herx??

My last known tick bite was July 2015. I had classic rash, flu symptoms etc and I didn't take the tick out correctly. I was given a week of doxy. I returned to docs couple weeks later and was given another week. Things have gone down hill since then. Diagnosed with cfs from IDC based on severe fatigue, chest palpitations, constant low body temperature, neck pain, tinnitus, weak heavy legs etc.

I tested with armin labs and Dr armin stated I either have lyme or igm is cross reaction with ebv, cmv etc. I then tested for those viruses which came back negative. As armin labs don't treat I went to bca of which the doctor said based on your history...camping, world-wide travel, open water swimming, trecking in jungle, previous tick bites he was confident I have lyme and tested again was not required but I did the tests anyway. During waiting for results I came home and took two weeks doxy in an attempt to get well. I herx badly but improved the second week only to relapse couple weeks later.

Igm again results and the Dr showed me how clever the bacteria is and the percentage of patients that have reoccurring igm results who have chronic lyme low cd count. I tested again back home western blot and igm positive. You can't get three false positives for same bands. Well you could but highly unlikely.

I went round in circles thinking have I got lyme or not. I'd post of here and some people say yes and the odd person says no. Which is dangerous as I could take your advice and be left untreated. My German doc at bca clinic said I have lyme and the fact I had doxy not long ago would have killed some of the lyme forcing it into cyst form making it more difficult to treat. This could be why I'm not herxing.

Dr armin and bca lab are some of the best doctors in Europe. I trust they are treating my illness correctly. Many Dr including Dr jemsek in Washington treat based in symptoms not test results ad test results are there to support only.

I think you need to be careful saying people don't have lyme on this forum without knowing history.

I agree with Girlie. You have positive tests and symptoms. Any other infection and it wouldn't be questioned if you still needed treatment.

I did not herx with ABX until about 4-6 weeks in. I actually felt great at first!
Also, I tested with Armin labs. They are great. My first Lyme test to ever come back +.

Then i start treatment doxy-azitromycin i have herx, past few weeks i have not herx. Then i add to my treatment tinidazole two weeks i have massive herx.
