Worth testing through IGENEX

I think i'm dealing with Bart and Babesia. These were negative on my basic labs through quest. I have heard and read that IGENEX is more sensitive to this kind of testing. Anybody had this done?

I don't know if Igenex is the best place to test the co-infections, but it would be better than Quest, as Igenex only tests for Tick-borne infections...that's their specialty.

Galaxy Lab is where some people are having good results for bartonella - but still lots of false negatives (and it's expensive)

Dna connexions is a urine pcr ..highly sensitive ..12 microbes ..no doc needed ...

I did not do any testing other than lyme. I had bart scratches on me one time, so I treated bart. I had a cough and air hunger, so I treated babs.

Instead of a test, I bought more meds.

Sometimes testing helps tremendously. When my lyme test came back positive, I chose not to test for the co-infections at that time.
I was clinically diagnosed with bartonella.

Treated it for a year.

Recently, my new LLND suggested I do a PCR test for Babesia, Candida..and I added bartonella.
My bartonella test showed positive...and I was starting to question if I still needed to treat bart...and yup, I do.

But, because the co's testing has a lot of false negatives...you can be throwing money away....UNLESS you get a positive.

It's not an easy decision.
