Hello I get tingling all through my face, lips, head, legs, arms, and feet. This tingling sensation makes me feel hypoglycemic. Like I need to eat constantly. But I eat and I feel the same. It's strange. I have anxiety. Have not been able to leave the house alone and drive alone. The tingling and weak feelings make me scared. I started mc bar 1 for Bart and tox eas. Also I'm taking monolaurin for EBV. My doctor is treating me for Bart based on my symptoms and blood work. She does not believe I have Lyme. I still want to do blood tests for Bart and co infections and Lyme.
Do any of you have these symptoms with Bart as well? I do not have cat scratch rash and the bottoms of my feet don't hurt like others. I can feel the tingling there though.
My symptoms started after a flu shot I had gotten a few years back and after being on steroids and after a trip to Austin. I definitely swallowed lake water by accident and got bitten by 30 mosquitos. Outdoorsy girl may have been bitten by tick. Don't remember.
Past symptoms when I first got sick were:
Slight heart murmur
Hives or rash up my arms, throat, face and stomache.
*Mild gastroparesis- almost healed now
**Heart palpitations
**Feeling like I'm having a heart attack (went to ER 7 times they were puzzled).
*Weak feeling
**Hypoglycemia feeling
*Spaced out
Mix up words
*Light headedness
**Strange pains in chest around heart ( went to heart doc I'm good)
**Pains in breast on and off
Depression
*Extreme anxiety ( 1 mg of Xanax 3 x a day ) I don't take it unless I get a panic attack now
*Panic attacks
Food sensitivities
Histamine intolerance
Burning tongue
**Slightly anemic
Loss of weight
Sick flu feeling
Now:
*Anxiety
**Occasional heart palpitations
*Tiny bit slow digestion
*Weight gain
Tingling through body
*Weakness
Tired
**Sometimes sharp pain moves around like in arm breast chest. Getting better though.
**Hypoglycemia feeling
Joint pain occasional
*Brain fog
Mix up words
Histamine intolerance getting better
I'm very sorry you are having to go through this. Tingling and neurophathy are some of the worst symptoms to deal with. Some of your symptoms sound like Bartonella, but I would say some of them definitely sound like Babesia, too. I'll put an asterisk beside the ones you listed that tend to be Babesia.
The ones that really stand out to me for Babesia are: Anemic, hypoglycemic, chest pains (also costochondritis), heart palpitations, anxiety, and weight gain. I have heard all of these from people who had Babesia. And, some of these are textbook symptoms for Babesia.
Of particular note is the Babesia parasite's need for glucose. It will use up its host's and cause a low serum glucose condition.
I know the blood tests for Babesia are very insensitive, but perhaps you should get tested for it if you haven't yet.
