I read just now about Chinese skullcap, which is one of the herbs i Use,

and how its used for bartonella influence on the cns. and also for mycoplasma infection.

Just wanted to pass on the info.

I never knew that Chinese skullcap was used for that...I will have to look into it.

I'm sure the bart in my CNS is responsible for a lot going on with me.

I have been using ALA, Kudzu, Greater Celandine, hawthorn (for cardio issues)

Well, it is in the bartonella section - CNS involvement.

I guess I never chose it because I bought the two in the "Neural Pain" section of the bart book
- Kudzu, Greater Celandine

Dang - next herb order....

A slight increase general symptoms at times.....but could be due to die off. I generally take an intial rise in symptoms as a good sign. But on the other hand time of greater sense of calmness as well.

Right now I'm seem to be getting more calmer in situations that would produce more stress. Kind of hard to explain because still the rise in symptoms also increase anxiety. I'm dealing with a remainder of nuero/issues/cns. etc. but it is situational mostly.

one example of this is the new fear of thunder...so funny that thunder never effected me b4 but it's just one example of my CNS going outta whack. each loud thunder i hear if there a lightning would make me freak a bit.

that was previosly...but i think i still am somewhat sensitive to loud noises that come out of nowhere.

Thanks. How long have you been using it and do you remember herxing in the beginning? I have to give it a try. Was supposed to be today but herxing so badly from something else. Guess it will be Monday.

I'm putting that on my next herb order.

Are you doing tincture...and is it Woodland Essence? or..are you making your own tinctures?

Mister Mike, it is good to know another one that doesn't herx. I really thought it was weird that I never herxed and I always felt a little self conscious because I never did.

Hey Girlie - I'm using powdered Baikal Skullcap and then I make my own capsules, but I have used the WE or Sage Woman tinctures before as well. Yeah, I was skeptical it was having that impact, but now I'm pretty convinced as the timing is uncanny.


One symptom off the list...keep going!!!

Of course it is! I'm not getting better in leaps and bounds...but slowly dropping symptoms...ever. so. slowly.

Hey PZ! Yeah - Cryptolepis made me herx way back when, but not much else. Usually if something is working for me, the symptoms just slowly get better...

How I knew I was well -- I got sick. I mean sick to my stomach and feeling horrible. I had been symptom free for about 2 months and I had no idea what made me so sick to my stomach. I quit Andrographis because it was the last to be added and Cryptolepis.

Then I was well again and still no symptoms.

A couple of weeks later I was super sick again to my stomach. My husband was the one that said, "stop everything and see how you are doing." I was so sick I listened to him. LOL!

I quit everything and here I am - 4 months later. Still no herbs, except for my daily stuff I take, but more supplements than herbs.

Good to see you are still improving!! Keep up the good health.

It's in Buhner's "Healing Lyme Disease Confections" in the Bart section.

I found it under "neural pain" - but it's also in "Sever CNS/brain involvement."

This is a fascinating thread.

Perhaps if something makes us herx terribly, we shouldn't be taking it?

That is what I got from Mike, Peteza, Lyme driven. When I started Stephanis, elu, ash, I never herxed and they have been so beneficial for me. Cat's Claw and Red Sage were horrific.

Trying Chinese Skullcap next. Just ordered the Kudzu - don't want to grow horns like Mike.

sorry for resurrecting an old thread but does anyone have a recommendation on what brand to get for chinese skullcap? thanks for any help or advice.
