Thanks guys - I truly appreciate the thoughtful replies and let me say that I know the intent of the "low and slow" mantra is to reduce unnecessary herxing/suffering for members, which is a great thing and this concern for all of us is one of the things that makes this forum the best.
I brought it up, not as a complaint, but as I saw the opportunity to share with members that while starting off slow is a very good thing, it is really, really important to keep increasing dosages on these herbs until you find your ideal amount. I personally don't think this concept gets enough "airtime", despite Buhner mentioning this in his books and what I'm reading here. Yes, some people are very sensitive to minute doses, but other people are not.
And p.s. Trav - I wasn't singling you (or anyone) out my friend! I actually don't recall you saying that term specifically, but I'll take your word for it!
No problems!! Having been saying the same things for so long, I have a tendency to not explain as thoroughly as I should! I thought it was an excellent post explaining things, Mister Mike! Thank you!!
And although I don't say "slow and low" too often on here, I say it a LOT in emails! LOL! As you said, the intention is to reduce herxing and get the person up on full doses with minimal amounts of herxing - but I thought I should also clarify what I meant - since you were so kind as to point this out.
