So I have been having ear problems for the last year. In lots of ways I am feeling much better since starting Buhner protocol in July this year. However, last week I started a new job, I am very lucky that I have improved enough to go back to work - I think. A lot of my head symptoms that had gone away have come back the last couple of nights, not as severe and I have hours in the day where I am free from the head pain. The stress of just one week of working full time has made my head feel like its in a vice again, my eyes are really tired and my head feels 'full'

I keep having hearing problems, this has gone on the past year and I am now quite hard of hearing sometimes.
It descends from nowhere and I am in Suzee's silent world, can't even hear the tap run when it happens and it lasts for a couple of days and then lifts and I can hear again.


I know mosquito bites can cause hearing problems, anyone else with this ???

I've not had the severity of hearing loss that you have experienced, but I have had some that last for shorter time periods - only hours. It's due to the effects of these infections affect on my nervous system.

Mine usually happens right after my tinnitus gets to a super high, very painful pitch, then everything goes quiet. Lol. At that point it's kind of a relief though, especially since I known it returns later.

This is usually directly tied to stress for me. Seems like it might be tied to stress for you as well. Going back to work can be very stressful to a sick body.

Do be sure to detox well, and make sure you are eating good and resting lots too. Even 20 minutes in a quiet, comfortable place with your eyes closed can be helpful during your lunch break.

I can relate to the stresses of work. Sometimes when I'm at work my head feels "full" like you described it and pressure in the eyes (did not happen before lyme), but then it would clear up once I left work. Stress will do it.

I'm happy to hear your treatment has been working. You now feel well enough to have a full time job. That's a big accomplishment. Congrats.

The only advice I can think of is, see what Buhner recommends for the particular symptoms you are feeling and perhaps you can add that.

Suzee are you treating Bart? My husband has horrible tinnitus that comes and goes. The more I read, the more I am pointed to Bart treatment for him.

But, I'm still working on the inflammation and cytokine remodulation right now, then I think he will hit Bart.

He is doing Buhner also.

Traveler - thanks and yes I will make sure my break is restful and I know from the last few weeks working my way back up to full time again it means at the moment I work but when I come home I really can't do much else, that's ok its a huge improvement in itself getting back to that stage even.

dacarte3 - oh that head fullness is horrible and yes pressure in and behind the eyes sometimes accompanies it and then the eyes are a little inflamed sometimes (never had either of those pre lyme either) and yes it clears up after work ! Just checked what Buhner recommends for hearing loss with lyme and ordered it - thanks now why didn't I think of that ?!?!

PeteZa - have not treating Bart, got the list of herbs last week and going to order them this evening as well Vinpocetine which I have just read Buhner recommends for hearing problems with lyme as well as stephania which I already have and will start taking again.

PeteZa so sorry to hear that your husband is suffering too, he is lucky in that he has you by his side and yes I think the ototoxicity problem is bart related too.

You sound like you are on a good plan. Be super nice to yourself. It was hard for me to be the patient. I am a very impatient patient. But, it was hard for me being my own doctor too. It took research and this place to know what to do.

Thank goodness for this place!!

Gosh I will second that - Thank goodness for this place, without this I had no plan, I thought I was rapidly losing the plot. Well I suppose I actually was as I believed docs when they said I didn't have lyme as tests were negative !! Then I found Healing Well with all your combined knowledge to help and guide.

I don't want to think where I would have been had I not have found this.

Amazing how much stress is so directly connected to heightening of borrelia and co symptoms. I would leave work, drive in rush hour traffic (which made it worse) and then the moment I step in my front door it would immediately fade as if a switch had been flipped.

Good luck on the new herb.
