My favorite symptoms of a UTI are back. Urgency, frequency and just bladder pain (it doesn't hurt to pee, thankfully, just pressure pain). No cranberry juice or pills for me, upsets my tummy too much and I can't handle juices of any kind without getting nauseous and feeling super sick.
I was thinking of taking D-mannose. Any thoughts/input on this?

I've used D-mannose many times while treating Lyme and on antibiotics without any problems. I've had this discussion before, and can't remember exactly the details, but the D-mannose generally should not create problems for candida. Not to mention that very few grams have to be ingested for it to be effective in clearing the bacteria from the urinary tract. I would try some and if it flares your candida, you'll have to discontinue. But, I really doubt it will cause any problems.
D-mannose is a wonder supplement for me and others I've seen use it-- nothing short of miraculous. I've seen it knock out the symptoms of a full-blown UTI with fever in a couple days.
FWIW, cranberry juice works because it contains d-mannose. Why take cranberry juice that has so much sugar (albeit natural, but nonetheless sugar) when you can take straight d-mannose?

Wonder supplement for me too. I buy hyperbiotic probiotic and it has the d-mannose in it. Clears up a urinary flare in a few days.

Haven't used it - looked it up just now - does look like a great supplement!

TOOTY, What brand D-mannose do you use? And K, what probiotic do you use?
