I believe I was infected when I was young and according to my test levels the Dr agrees that I have had lyme at least 20 to 25 years. It came to be a serious issue after a severe car wreck about
4 years ago now though. I have been treated with about
50 types of medications from every kind of doctor you can imagine but the Lyme dr did first try a 6 week round of Doxy for me. The doxy worked in the beginning a little but after about
3 weeks I was back to feeling the way I did when we started. With my levels my Dr didn't want to waste any time trying to kill off more of the lyme until my immune system was involved and helping so we switched to the LDI.
During the LDI I take a list of supplements to help the body to heal. The LDI assists the body is producing new T cells as well as introduces the dead lyme with it like a vaccine to help the body realize that it needs to fight it off. You're in essence saying, 'here's the bad guy and here's some extra T cell strength, now go get it!' With the treatment I take: A multivitamin, magnesium, folic acid, trace minerals, an LDA immunity booster, and nystatin which is an antifungal medication. These are all begun the week before the treatment and three weeks after with the exception of the day before, the day of and the day after the injection. We are also to follow a strict diet excluding anything with a yeast presence, so all dairy and any grains for the 4 week period as well.
