Please - need advice

My first ELISA test was borderline, about 1 month after I was bitten, and I had rash and all symptoms of new Lyme disease. Doctor saw the rash and said no need for tests, it is Lyme. 2 weeks of doxy 2x100 and that should have been it. I had some more ELISA tests later on in 2 month periods as advised to check the healing - all negative. Even did Western blot and Babesia tests after one year when symptoms reappeared - all negative.
That is why it is clinically diagnosed. But if you have the rash it should be 99% proof.

WOW! Thank ALL of you!!! I logged out the other night and was too shot to come on here yesterday. Honestly, I am so unable to concentrate, and I see how brilliant and LL YOU all are, and how y'all take in and retain this information about LD and ...I definitely feel stupid and incapable of understanding, or retaining all this knowledge. I was always excellent in art, and English, and things to do with music,and even MATH (hated it, but got A's)- but pretty hopeless at science, or the chronology of the events in much of history.

Having pain for all these years, I became pretty good at parts of pharmacology - but....seem to have specialized - in only ONE part of the PDR and the chemistry that goes with that. Somehow, I got the highest score in my class - on my state cosmetology test (98) and it contained A LOT of anatomy and physiology. I can't remember most of it now, though I was fascinated at the time - by the bacterias and viruses and fungi. Truth is, I feel like I lost my mind and its ability to take anything in for more than 5 minutes.

For instance, I was going to answer a question that julymorning asked me on page one of this thread and I have no idea at the moment - what that question even was. Short term memory is getting nonexistent. OH God - what was that question? I have to go back and look and maybe write it down and them come back to answer it.

The IDS office - let me speak with "his nurse" yesterday on the phone (who wasn't around on the one occasion when I saw the guy)- and I said: "Hey LISTEN...I can't afford to play these LYME GAMES!!! You are either gonna help me, or YOU'RE NOT - and if NOT...just tell me and I will have to find someone else." She put me on hold and came back and said: "We will give you enough Doxy to take 'til your appointment next Tuesday. He's not going to keep prescribing to you if he doesn't SEE you." So I have 14 Doxy100's -well now 13. OH GOD - I sound like a street thug now.

A bullseye rash means you 100% have lyme. I don't understand why the ID is giving you so much trouble. I had almost your identical symptoms and same scenario with ID. He said "No more Doxcy and don't go on Lyme boards they are all crazy and so are LLMDs." I kept saying "But I am still very sick." Fast forward, I found this board, I found an LLMD, I found out I was reinfected and not newly infected, it happens all the time.

If I were you I would just keep treating like you have Lyme if that means finding a new doctor to give you abx or going full herbs, please do that.

The mods on here are lyme-angels and know more than most doctors anyway. They have saved me and they will save you.
