Haven't been able to post and still in a major funk.

In Rifampin and Azith for Bart.

Started Cholestpure for mold and one single pill the herx was too much to bear. Insane brain feelings.

A week later I started BEG spray for MARCONS and on the second day couldn't go further. Worst face and head pain I've ever had.

Have had back of head pain and fog since.

Fast forward to yesterday, went into a photo booth for Xmas and the flashes made me sick. Progressively worse all day. Last night horrible.

Feels like a concussion. Light and sound sensitive.

ND wants me to try and get a script for low dose prednisone.

Saying autoimmune encephalopathy. Okay at low dose since I'm on antibiotics.

Insane. This sucks!

HooBoy I don't know what to tell you. There are cautions with taking steroids while being infected with Lyme, but I don't know about Bart.

These herxes you're having definitely need ramping down, and the only other way I know of that can help is detoxing thoroughly. I'm not sure you were ready to start anything new until you got the earlier stuff under control, in this case the rif and Azith before starting the BEG spray.

Light flashes will absolutely mess with your head through your vision. Even driving down a road with trees blocking sun light every few feet can make you sick from the strobing affect.

What has been your detox routine?


ETA: You may have to go with some prednisone for a short while to help if nothing else is some times one has to take a serious look at the cost/value factors and go for it.

Yep. Last night I couldn't bear the headlights. That's when I knew things were bad.

I'm thinking of switching to Mino because it's anti inflammatoy as I'm about a month into Azith and Rif.

Detox
Chlorella 5 tabs 3x a day
Dry skin brush
Epsom baths
Pinella, Burbur

I oddly don't think this is a herx. I think it was the lights.

I was including your reaction to the abx.

My eyes are super sensitive to light, headlights especially those blue halogen, fluorescent lights, and bright sunlight first thing in the morning.

That sounds like a good list of methods. You might, since your head in involved, go to one of the youtube videos with instructions for massage draining of your Lymph nodes, facially and neck area.

So sorry to hear this. Hopefully you will be able to get through these herxes. I'm not sure about low dose prednisone, but there are some that are on low physiological doses of hydrocortisone for adrenals. Again very low doses which do not present with the issues of high dosing which is medicinal.

My brain swelling and light sensitivity has been helped by bvt ...it is a vey porent anti-inflammatory. ..prednesone may mess with adrenals ...on rif zith too .the mino made me dizzier...
