Does an antifungal cause herxing?

My twin starts on minocycline rifampin and tinidazole next month also a antifungal. Should she start the antifungal first before adding each antibiotic? Will it cause herxing? Thanks guys.

I would start her on the antifungal first, since she's already been on some abx treatment, right?

My theory is getting getting the Candida somewhat out of the way or part of a yeast issue. Don't forget to have her take good probiotics because the abx will wipe out even more good bacteria which would encourage even more yeast overgrowth.

Hopefully she is avoiding sugar and starches.

Some llmd believe that diflucan inhibits the efflux pump of the bacteria .making it more suceptable to the antibiotics ...it really is necessary to prevent candida overgrowth..that and rifampin can be too much for impaired livers ...jic

Nystatin pretty much only treats the gut. Diflucan gets into the blood to treat the whole body for systemic infections.
