So one of my kids had alarming blood results. At first, I freaked out especially about the ANA but then I did some searching here and saw that some of these were normal findings with Lyme.

Immunoglobulin M, Qn, Serum 220 (HIGH) 51-187 (range)

M Pneumoniae Igm Abs 1695 (HIGH) 0-769 (range)
M Pneumoniae Igg Abs 1104 (HIGH) 0-99 (range)

Hhv 6 Igg Antibodies 26.92 (HIGH) No range given

Antinuclear Antibodies, Ifa Positive
Speckled Pattern 1:160

Lymphs (Absolute) 3.8 (high) 1.3-3.7 (range)

Bun/Creatinine Ratio 32 (high) 9-25 (range)

Cholesterol and Triglycerides were also high which I do find strange for an 8 year old girl.

Anyhow, are any of these tests more meaningful to you?

Please reassure me that my daughter does not have Lupus. I'm interpreting it to mean she has some auto-immune response going on due to Lyme. Does it mean she has an active infection for Lyme and/or co-infections?

These are fairly common test results among Lyme patients. It IS most likely that her infections have an autoimmune component to them - many of us do.

The high cholesterol and triglycerides are also fairly common with these infections:

Something else to note - I have high cholesterol, until all three values are looked at together - they are all high, so mine are not so far out of range as some doctors like to think.

While it's always best to watch for other conditions that can come with these infections, many of them are caused by these infections - as you have discovered.
