So I jumped the gun a bit by stating in my last post that I was on the mend. I went back to the gym on Monday and now I feel like death. I guess my first question is whether or not a Herx reaction is a good thing? It means the bacteria is dying, correct? Is it a good idea to push through the Herx with more exercise and really kill those suckers or do I have to stop going to the gym for a day to recover? Previous to this I was feeling "OK" which is not really a win. I would rather feel great (which I have not experienced in over a year) or horrible, knowing that my body is working through this disease.
I guess my question is, if I can deal with the Herx, should I just keep going to the gym or does a Herx mean I should slow down (medically speaking)?
Thanks
If you feel like "death" then it was too much. You don't want to push yourself that hard. You can still go to the gym, but maybe not do so much...and give yourself a day to recover if you're feeling fatigued..and of course detox.
I think gauge it by how you feel the next day. If you haven't recovered...then don't workout that day.
