Hi Julie!
Welcome to our community! I'm so glad you found us.
If you haven't yet, it would be helpful for you to start with reading through the thread at the top of the forum titled,"New to Lyme?...Start here!!", as it is packed full of important information, symptom lists, helpful links and pdf's, how to detox when one has these infections, information on probiotics and much more. And, here's another good place to find helpful detoxing routines:

I"m so sorry about
the hysterectomy! I've had one too, but mine had better results.
Actually, testing is NOT sensitive enough, which is why you had two false negatives. Many, including myself, have had false negatives. For me, it took nearly a year of treatment before I finally tested positive.
The reason for this is most tests rely on antibody production, which takes a strong immune system. Lyme lowers our immune function, so it can't produce the antibodies that are require for the tests to be positive. For DNA testing, the bacteria has to be in the blood or tissue that is being tested - this can be problematic because it only takes a small amount of bacteria to create a very difficult illness, and the bacteria won't be in every part of the body. So it too still gets lots of false negatives.
I would encourage you to share these articles with your doctor -sounds like they are a practitioner of Chinese Medicine, so it should make lots of sense to them.

My first round of tick borne infections was treated and healed by a TCM practitioner. I healed well and quickly with her, as the support she provided along with the protocols that I used to treat the infections, and the acupuncture and cupping were some of the best medicine for my body that I had for many years. I got reinfected though, and my practitioner had to move out of state to care for her aging parents.
