I think I have this just wondering if anyone else with Lyme has this? I'm not digesting food at all.

I do, but gastroparesis is different than undigested food in the stool - Gastroparesis is a condition in which the spontaneous movement of the muscles (motility) in your stomach does not function normally. I was stuck in bed yesterday dealing with this, because I have serious intestinal cramping.

Undigested food can be a sign of leaky gut or lack of digestive enzymes in the stomach though. I get this too, as I have leaky gut.

I have various other issues I have this weird air pocket that happens when I get had I have to press on it to get this moving sometimes it's very painful. Also lots of burping and I almost always have a loose stool I haven't had a normal one in months. I get back pain if I eat certain foods and that is very intense I'm sure I'm leaving lots out.

I jumbled that sorry it was hard to understand, when I get gas I get a painful air pocket that I have to press on to get things moving. It started a few months ago when I noticed I wasn't digesting anything. But I think the digestion problem is getting worse bc used to be it looked a little digested now it literally comes out just the way I eat it.

Are you seeing a LL doc of any type? If so, you need to be sure to discuss this with them so they can evaluate you and figure out just what all is going on.

Is it an air pocket or is it a intestinal muscular cramp? I get both, and neither is comfortable! I'm so sorry that you are dealing with this too, as I know it can be extremely painful.

There are some things you can do, but it would be best to get checked out to be sure just what's going on before doing anything on your own that could possibly make matters worse.

Air pocket and I also get stomach contractions like when u have a baby I've had 2 of those lol But it's in my stomach and not painful most of the time it can be tho, mainly it's exhausting after awhile and my muscles get sore.

If you have food on your stools, then you are not making the essential digestive enzymes to break these foods down. You need to speak with your doctor, but it also sounds like a good formula of digestive enzymes would help.

And you may need something to help with bile.

Perhaps also seeing a gastro doc is in order.'

I've seen 2 GI doctors they both said I looked to heathy to be in there but they would do a ultra sound on my stomach bc I also have a pulsing mass in my stomach that periodically hurts bad. I also have hashimototos and they think I have fibro. The list is endless it feels like I'm down to 115 and I'm 5'5 I was 200 pounds last year. I put myself on a raw diet but every once in a while I'll have rice like 2 days ago I have black rice and I comes out exactly the way I ate it no smaller even.

Since I've been on a raw diet for about a month I feel a lot better however no change in food absorption yet and when I try to eat cooked food my body immediately wants to reject it but I'm not a puker so I can usually keep it down but when it goes through me it torture I feels like my inside r being scraped with a knife.

I would suggest that you not do the raw food diet - the food still being in your stool shows that you are not able to process it properly to get the nutrients out of the food. Cooked foods are easier for the body to digest and process out properly, so it you are not able to do that, then your digestive system needs help.

Have you been evaluated by your LLMD for gastro issues yet? They are generally more open to these possibilities because they know that how we look means nothing to how well our bodies are functioning. Too many other docs have told me that I look too good to be that sick - my comment back to them? Someone needs to explain that to my body, because I am NOT that healthy.

Lol I love that. I don't have an llmd I can't afford a proper Lyme test even I've had 2 Elsa test both negative I'm pretty sure I was bit when I was 16 I'm now 30.

Then I would suggest a naturopathic or functional medicine doctor who specializes in digestive issues. Perhaps the functional medicine doctor if you have insurance as these visits are often covered.

But I would get on a digestive enzyme promptly.

Then are you left kind of on your own to deal with this? Do you have health insurance so you can look around for a GI doc that has a reputation for helping the really difficult cases?

If not, I can share with you some of the things I do - I neither have health insurance, nor a LLMD. I'm completely on my own here. I was lucky that I had an alternative medicine doc that helped me understand what I could do on my own, after having had a really good GI doc (but the office staff made it impossible to stay there) that diagnosed me with a few issues. Just send me an email if you wish to discuss these things - they may or may not be of help to you, but I would think it would be better than having to 'go it alone'.

And, I'm very sorry that you are dealing with this!! It literally rules my life, so I do all that I can to appease my gastro system. LOL.

Traveler beat me to it, but I'm also available via email. I've worked with several naturopaths and nutritionist on gut issues over the last several years, so I've become pretty versed in this area, unfortunately (lol).

Also to soothe your gut lining you can try DGL. It's very good. I wouldn't recommend aloe at this time because you could have SIBO and that would only aggravate things and make it worse.

The doctors in my town is very much take a pill or go to the psych ward if u don't want to take it. I'm sick of shoving pills into my body I haven't taken meds in a almost 2 years they had me dependant an soma xanex and OXY it was a toxic situation and I haven't found 1 doctor that wants to treat me not mask my symptoms with a pill. I've been to over 15 different doctors all different kinds over the last year that my body has been seemingly shutting down and all the doctors can say is take a pill if u don't want to then u aren't really sick. I've had doctors get upset with me bc I said I won't fill a prescription I wont! Refuse! Each new appointment I get my hopes up thinking that the this one will have a aha moment and they never do it always the same ur fine it's just some stupid half ass diagnosis. Frankly I'm sick of doctors

I definitely understand, Kw!! I feel the same way about the docs here. That's why I'm treating myself. I was just lucky to have found someone that was willing to learn how to treat these infections the first time around, so I have had some guidance in the beginning of my journey.

I have to use a combination of 3 herbs (one of which is DGL - or licorice root) 3 times a day just to keep my intestines from cramping up so badly that nothing moves at all and to reduce the amount of pain I'm in daily. With some other strategies, I've been able to improve my overall gut functions, but I'm still working on that as well.

I encourage you to continue to figure out ways to help your gut heal. It's a major part of our ability to heal these infections and to be able to get the nutrients we need to get/keep healthy.

I would also encourage you to email both Krimpet and myself, and see what information we might be able to help you with.
