Pericarditis//Pericardium effusion

Recently went for my first echocardiogram in a year and a half and everything came back the same except for pericardium effusion/fluid off the heart. My cardiologist assured me it is almost entirely likely to be fine and is small and very localised but I'm kind of concerned yet relieved everything else came back fine.

He said it could be from a previous bout of pericarditis from "infection" and be the remnants of the inflammation which my cardiologist in 2015 told me the same sort of thing after seeing slight inflammation in breast bone through some scan

I was wondering if anyone else had pericarditis or effusion with bartonella/lyme//anything?

I have the exact same thing. A few years ago I went to the cardiologist for a routine check up. I had the echo done and the dr asked me how I was feeling. I thought it was kind of strange and I said to him, "why is something wrong"?. He said there was some fluid around the heart. He explained it just like your dr. That I probably had a virus or infection and this is a result of it.

This fluid has been there for about two years. He said it does not concern him. Everything else is fine. I said to him that I think it is a result of Lyme. He said no way. If you had a heart condition due to lyme you would be hospitalized. Meaning, that it would be very very bad. I disagreed but did not argue with him.

The only symptoms I had at the time was cramping in between my shoulder blades. He said that was probably from the virus to the heart. I don't get those symptoms anymore so maybe he is right.
