numbness in left arm

Hi, I did have numbness in both arms and legs, also head,face,neck,throat. Mine has almost resolved since treating with ABX and Buhner herbs. Except for a few times having it in my head/neck when I herx.

Mine was a heavy numbness, not any tingling.

Yes. Numbness at different times in fingers, usually pinky. A few years ago I had it in face that sent me the neuro hospital thought I was having a stroke. Of course I was normal -LOL. Didn't know it was Lyme back then.

My son gets the numbness too. I take a homeopathic tablets for circulation but don't know the name.

You still doing im rocephin ? Mine is shoulder pinching nerve from lyme eating it ...has gotten worse then better with bvt

Aids and syphillis can be ruled out with a blood test...if you're really concerned about it.


I still have no sensation in my left index finger. It went numb with my left arm and hand in April, 2013.
Everything else has feeling back...just not fully in that one finger pad.

Is detoxing not helping?

Maybe if I used the Spooky2 directly on my spinal chord. I wonder if that would get rid of spirochetes there. Maybe I should invest in a plasma. I believe someone mentioned the plasma has better bone penetration.

K07 - I knew you had the peripheral neuropathy...but didn't realize your entire body (or I forgot?)

How is it now? Have you taken longer breaks from the antibiotics...and if so - did it make a difference?

Numbness is a common symptom - either as a result of the infections themselves or treatment (herx).

The bugs disrupt the immune system by causing inflammation. Inflammation leaves tissues vulnerable which enables the bugs to scavenge nutrients and they scavenge those nutrients from our collagen.

The myelin sheath covering our nerves is made from collagen. "Holes" in the collagen can leave nerves "raw" or "short-circuited" and cause all the crazy nerve-related symptoms we can have.

During my earlier stages of treatment I developed numbness in my left arm/hand, sometimes my left leg, often parts of my face (usually the left side near my mouth) and sometimes my whole face.

Walking was challenging when my leg was involved and I'm sure you can understand I often dropped things.

Since I didn't have these symptoms when I first started treatment, I considered them herxes. Detoxing helped "smooth things over" but they symptoms still recurred....to a lesser degree.

Things have improved dramatically with treatment but it took a long time. At the most, my face might feel tingly for a few seconds here and there but the various types of numbness I dealt with seem to be a part of my past (thank goodness).

Buhner recommends 1/2 tsp Japanese Knotweed tincture as frequently as every hour to help with numbness and that has helped me more than anything.

Japanese Knotweed is great for clearing neurotoxins among many, many other benefits.

I also think that the things I've been doing for collagen remodulation (BioSil, collagen, whey protein, Vit C, etc.) have helped heal my myelin sheaths and thus my nerves.

Hang in - things will get better.

I had significant numbness and nerve dysfunction in different parts of my body - to the point that I could burn myself on the stove/oven and not notice it until I found the blister or smelled it (ew!) and things like that. I figured it had gone on so long, there was not a lot of hope in it returning - but I started lions mane tincture 2 months ago, and things have been healing amazingly for me!

My tinnitus is no longer a constant, I have more feeling around my mouth (didn't even realize there was an issue there!) and in my hands/arms and legs/feet as well. I don't believe this helps everyone, but for those that have myelin sheath damage, it's definitely worth trying!!!

From my understanding, nerve issues can be from either Lyme or Bartonella. Lyme can destroy the myelin sheath (protective covering of the nerve for those that don't know) and infect the nervous system causing dysfunction. Bartonella can infect the nervous system and cause dysfunction. For the person with severe Neuro issues, it's often caused by Neuro Lyme and Bartonella.

That's another reason that I like the idea of using mushrooms. I won't risk picking up another infection from it. I was kind of skeptical of Lion's mane, even though I did the research and suggested it to others - based on the research I had done on it. But, my case is different at times, because I had been infected for so long before finally getting my diagnosis - then healing and getting reinfected. So I didn't know if it would work for me or not - but it did! I was really surprised with how well it worked for me too.

I do still get "shorter" periods of tinnitus and my nerve pain is still there in many areas, but the intensity is down (in all but one spot - my heel) and the tinnitus is lowered considerably in severity and in frequency - so I'm pretty happy with my results so far! I've only been using it for about 8 or 9 weeks now (I keep loosing track. LOL!)

Japanese knotweed is also in the Bartonella protocol.

Milk thistle
Hawthorne
etc.

Please do let us know how you do on the tincture! The more experiences we have on here, the better others will be able to evaluate if it's something for them to try. Besides, I'm the curious sort!! LOL! I want to know how everyone does on their individual herbs/treatments!!!
