finding LLMD

I went to a LLMD recently. I guess I'm naive. I wanted a doctor who knows about lyme, who would oversee my treatment & catch anything I might be missing as I treat myself with Buhner's protocol. And I DON'T want antibiotics.

I spoke with him on the phone & it seemed like a good match, so scheduled an appointment. He immediately started to try to convince me to take antibiotics. He said I could continue on my herbs, but for the 4 hour visit, he would randomly revisit this topic, even tho I told him I am opposed to antibiotics.

The other thing he seemed intent on doing was convincing me that I should do all his specialized treatments--all kinds of ozone treatments, laser therapy, vitamin drip therapy, I forget what else.

He was nice, spent lots of extra time with me, didn't charge us for a number of things he did for me in the office--but the more I think about it--it seems to me he is more intent on his agenda than on my wishes.

How do I find a good lyme doctor? Last week I was desperate, in tremendous pain. Today the pain is starting to ease up.

I don't know and am having the same problem. I went to a LLMD for 18 months and was abx until my stomach couldn't handle it anymore. He had no more arrows in his quiver.

So I now have an appointment with a LLNP. I'm a little nervous about it because she also offers lots of expensive treatments which I'm not opposed to if I could afford them. So we'll see how she is.

It's very frustrating. I understand. It's just exhausting trying to research everything to figure out what is right for you and what is affordable.
