Antonio, be sure to buy some permethrin and get a set of hiking clothes treated!!! And, treat your shoes too. This will keep a ton of ticks off of you. I use it whenever I know I will be going into areas on my property that are more likely to result in picking up ticks.
You are still treating chronic Lyme, right? If not, and you have healed that infection, or if you really just wish to try it, think of astragalus. Buhner states that some with chronic Lyme have found it helps them - just be sure to start off on a really super low dose.
But, the bottom line is that we should NEVER try to apply anything to get them to "back out" as it encourages them to spill the contents of their dirty little mouths first!! The best way is to use tweezers, as Grdner said. I have 'designated' tweezers for tick pulling! LOL! But, then I become vindictive and burn the little buggers!!!
