Had a great appointment with my LLMD this morning. First an update: I have been off of all of my Lyme meds since August while dealing with other health issues. For anyone dealing with mold as well as Lyme, please be very careful if you are taking Mupericin. The Mupericin caused me to have acute pancreatitis which caused an anuerism in my gastric artery. The artery bled into the stomach and the pancreas. The blood in the pancreas caused chronic pancreatitis. Approximately once a month from August until January, I vomited blood, went to the ER each time, but the bleeding stopped each time before they could find the bleed. Finally we had it set up that an Interventional radiological surgeon would be notified as soon as I called the ambulance. SO, he was able to find and close the bleed in mid-January. Unfortunately, the internal bleeding caused severe anemia which caused me to have an "anemic, free platelet stroke" on December 30th. Thankful for great Docs near my home and at Mass General.
Now to todays appointment. My Dr. is recommending that I go on IVIG for my neurological symptoms; especially neuropathy. Four days in a row per month for six months. Has anyone had experience with this? Up side, down side?
She also suggested that I visit the St. George Clinic in Germany for hyperthermic treatment. Basically induced and controlled fever to kill the bugs. I have not seen this mentioned on the forum and am curious. Just not sure it is in the budget until I am done paying tuition for my daughter.
Thanks in advance for any information.
