Has anyone tried stem cell treatment for Lyme - is anyone currently undergoing treatment? I looked back at the old posts and they're all over a year old and not conclusive. Anyone? My LLMD is going to talk about it with me tomorrow. I'm hearing good things, but I'd love to hear from someone on the board.

I would think the stem cells might be good after treatment to repair any damage...but not as a treatment.

There was a discussion on it a few days ago.

Kelly Orbourne went out of the country and spent a hunk of money on it and got well.

There are people here having it in lieu of knee replacement and are very happy, but broke. LOL

Please let me know how you fare!!

If I had the funds, I would be on the next plane to Germany and the Infusio center there. I think stem cells show huge promise in being an effective treatment.

So far I've mostly seen it being used for after treatment...but not as a treatment.

mm57553 - have you read a lot about people being healed -using it as a treatment? (other than Kelly Osbourne)

Update: So my LLMD doesn't think I'm ready for stem cells. She wants to see how I respond to the new herbal anti-virals and get THOSE under control before I start healing my body. She also wants to see about getting my gut back in action. I don't know enough about Stem Cells and my LLMD didn't have the time to go over it with me. Sorry I couldn't bring back more information. I do know she uses cells from umbilical cords - I was under the impression it's safer to use your own, but she says no. Mine are damaged because of Lyme. This certainly warrants more research.

As for Kelly, I heard she went over there for two weeks. If she was as bad as she says she was, the Infusio clinic obviously didn't think she needed several months of herbs to get other systems in check. IDK. I'm a little confused why my doc doesn't think I'm ready. I thought stem cells helped you heal faster?? Wouldn't that be a good thing??
