Has anybody completed the "Simon Yu 6 week protocol" listed below? What was your experience like?

Does anybody have any of these meds? I am having a hard time sourcing these, as most doctors won't prescribe more than 6mg Ivermectin at a time (if you are lucky enough to even convince them you have a parasite to begin with).


-Biltricide. 600mg. 2 tablets three times per day for two days.
- Ivermectin. 48mg. 1 tablet four times per day for 14 days (same time as Pyrantel)
- Pyrantel Parmoate. 1000mg. At bed time for 14 days (same time as Ivermectin).
- Repeat Biltricide.
- Albenza. 400mg. One tablet twice per day for 14 days.
- Alinia. 500mg. Two tablets twice per day for 14 days.

Just did a quick search on AllDayChemist and found Biltricide and Ivermectin, and Albenza

I have taken all of them and more-from Dr. Yu.
The best would be to see him in St. Louis-he usually works with a compound pharm.
If money is tight go there on their good Friday when his services are for whatever you can donate-he does this once a month

Adc hasnt had iver in a while ,out of stock ..many resort to 4 legged form(feed store then dose out per weight ..one old member prohect did this to completion ..he said amazon had prazi and ebay had albendazole ..
cvs had the pyrantal under pinx and i do get my alinia from adc ..

I Know 1 llmd that will script ...the pharmacy gave such a look when i picked up the iver .lol

I use diethylcarbamazine throughout. It is cheap, easy to tolerate, and complements most treatments of this nature. At minimum I would use it with Albenza.

Also available where Girlie suggested. This protocol is similar to what I am cycling. The Prazi is in the some Ivermectin animal deworming creams as a combo, but you get only up to about half the optimal dose because of the ratio of the two drugs in the combination. Any higher is increasing the risk of Ivermectin toxicity. Therefore to optimize the Prazi you will have to use the combo form twice as long as recommended in the protocols. I have both the Ivermectin and the Iver/Prazi combo.

I didn't see Albendazole in the animal form but their cousins Febendazole and Oxybendazole. If you were to use the latter be careful not to exceed the dose by weight instructions. I have used Febendazole briefly then switched to Mebendazole and am currently taking Albendazole.

This is one of the reasons that I disclose that I am on a modified protocol, and the addition of DEC is another.

Diethylcarbamazine

It is a piperazine derivative.

Mechanism of Action

The mechanism of action is same as that of piperazine citrate. Additional actions include:
1.Changes in skin (tegument) of parasites, making them more vulnerable to host defense mechanism.
2.Interferes with macromolecules transport across membranes of parasites.

Pharmacokinetics
1.Rapid oral absorption
2.Half life is 2-3 hours in acidic urine. It is 10 hours in alkaline urine
3.Unchanged drug and N-oxide metabolites are excreted in urine
4.The dose has to be decreased in patients of urinary alkalosis and renal impairment

Adverse Effects
1.General (already explained)
2.Specific 1.Ocular changes including keratitis, uveitis and changes in retinal pigments
2.Lymphadenopathy; localized swelling in W. bancrofti and W. malayi, small wheals in skin in L. loa and flat papules in M. streptocerca infection
3.Proteinuria (due to release of proteins from dying microfilarae)
4.Encephalitis
5.Leukocytosis
6.Allergic reaction to dying microfilarae, which is mild in W. bancrofti, intense in W. malayi and severe in L. loa


Contraindications

Children under 2 years of age. It is safe in pregnancy

Uses
1.Effect against microfilarae (developmental forms of parasites in blood) leading to disappearance of microfilarae)
2.Used against W. bancrofti, Brugia malayi, Loa loa, for which it is the drug of choice. It is also effective against Onchocercus volvulus, but now has been replaced by Ivermectin.
3.Used prophylactically for loa loa, Bancrofti and Malayan filariasis
4.Tropical eosinophilia, for which it is given orally
5.Mansonella streptocerca; effective against adults and microfilarae

Dose
1.For W. bancrofti 2 mg/kg for 5-7 days
2.For Loa loa 2 mg/kg for 2-3 weeks

blue - it showed on the site they had it (ivermectin)...I even pretended to order it.

So, do they not tell you right away that they are out of stock?

Is Ivermectin safe for humans? I don't like that stuff cuzz it messed my dog up permanently. Crappy vet didn't know that cow dogs can't have it, now my McNabb is permanently shaking and brain damaged for life from it.

I hope it's ok for people, but I have a permanent grudge against that stuff now.

Very safe for humans when used properly with breaks in the cycle. I am sorry about your dog. Dogs are family members and it is awful what happened to him.

Ok, I just began an order from ADC for everything, but it still sketches me out. I would prefer to actually get it from someone who has some leftover. It seems the albendazole & ivermectin (in human form), & alinia are particularly hard to get.

I don’t reccomend taking pyrantel at the same time as invermectin.

But *for treating your animals only *

The Feed store or Amazon sells individual tubes or packs of pyrantel and invermectin and for your animals. Best to buy them separate and not the mixed in one tube formula. Albendazole that I have comes in liquid form. $62 for more than a months supply. I had to source the Alinia from overseas.

Easy dispensing tubes with graded by weight for correct dosage

I was really scared to attempt this, but I had a friend who reccomened. I live an organic lifestyle and prefer the natural route, but I have been in emergency zone. This stuff really works and I have been having good feelings, clarity, energy, conversational ability etc. so glad I got fed up enough with our broken healthcare system to learn learn learn this past year. So tired of drs and so called llmd’s. I’m in the wrong business. I wish I was a dr and could have a holistic Lyme clinic to really help the people get better!

I took my health in my own hands, by necessity.

I see ivermectin still available at ADC - 6 or 12 mg

I haven’t taken it so not sure if dosage

when my LLND prescribed me Ivermectin I already had it on my farm. I walked over to my animal medicine cabinet and never looked back. However, I am a horse.
