Fluconazole once a week, any side effects?

I was one of those people who didn't have an extreme herx w/ the systemic Rx but I did w/ the Nystatin powder.

2 hrs after my 1st ever dose of diflucan I nearly fainted. It was before I started Lyme & Co treatment and I knew nothing about everything.

A warning of diflucan is Long-QT (heart) issues but I was clueless and not only did I continue taking it, I never mentioned the episode to my MD. I was on it for a good year with no other issues, no herxing, no other die off, had good effect on my chronic sinusitis and bronchitis issues but still had some remaining y/f symptoms.

In retrospect, I think the fainting episode was a brief die off herx… My y/f issues at the time were quite systemic. I can certainly understand people stopping the meds - but I guess I was lucky I didn't.

And then we realized my Doctor's Data stool test from a couple years back showed that diflucan/fluconazole was not effective against the strains it found but ketoconazole was so I tried that. This time, no die off, no reactions other than some gassiness and headaches but y/f sx went away in days.
