A year or so ago...after extensive bart treatment, I decided to add Artemisinin to my protocol.
I did experience what appeared to be a herx - especially with the first round...but not so noticeable on subsequent rounds.
A couple of times I got a rash - presented as little red dots on the top of my right foot.
They appeared during my epsom salt bath. They resolved within a few hours.
Fast forward to now - on full Babesia protocol with Mepron.
When I was on the daily dosing (just over a week ago) for 5 days...I had the rash again...during the epsom bath. Very pronounced this time.
It went away several hours later.
It never appeared again. I had a few good days during my week off of antibiotics last week.
Then yesterday (still hadn't restarted ) - I got a slight rash in my epsom bath.
Do you think this indicates Babesia?
This rash never occurred with lyme or bart treatment....what do you think?

Sounds like a Babesia rash to me. The only time I have Bart rashes is when I'm in treatment for Bart, same with Babesia I believe -although I have had random red spots pop up once in a while, and then disappear later without fanfare. Since they show up only one or two at a time (at most), I can't be sure they are from Babesia until I'm in treatment for Babesia - but I also don't know what else might cause the exact same thing to just happen only once in a while either, other than Babesia.

Thanks, Traveler.
I started to feel crummy last night and this morning the spots appeared again...but not as distinct as when I was taking the Mepron for the 5 days straight.
The patch on the top of my foot is about
2 " in diameter and always on the right foot...
For some reason it comes out with the epsom salt baths.

Look like this picture?

Petechia are fairly often associated with Babesiosis.

I've seen petechia photos before - not exactly like that though.
The dots are further apart...and they just seem different...maybe if they were on my legs they would look differently - than on the skin of my foot? IDK
Those ones almost look like they're on top of the skin rather than under the skin? if that makes any sense.

Hi Girlie!-
I am sorry to hear about
your rash issue.
Are they raised bumps or flat and red area? Does it itch?
I can't remember what treatment I was on at the time, but I would get a small 1 inch by 1 inch red flat circle rash that would show up on my left forearm. It only happened several times. It never itched or bothered me.
It would always show up after my sauna and shower routine.
Just like yours, mine would only last couple of hour and then disappear. Just to return on some other random day.
I have also had what looked like a small water blister and hives when I started certain antibiotics. They itched like crazy!
Maybe try some coconut oil on the area?
I hope that it gets better soon!
Best Wishes!

What kind of rash? Just little dots? I get a rash on my feet that comes and goes after having hot baths and showers but it is kind of splotchy.
