I know a lot of folks have a diet that is special/restricted - paleo, low-sugar, etc. and grocery bills can be high buying organic, non GMO, etc. I'm always looking for creative ways to cut costs on food and try to use coupons, compare prices, etc.
Anyway, I may be totally late to the game, but I just recently heard of ThriveGives by Thrive Market.
I'm not associated with Thrive Market and my apologies if this sounds like an advert. I just used to use Thrive Market, but stopped my subscription to cut costs, and was glad to hear that now they're waiving yearly membership fees for low income families, students, teachers, veterans that apply & qualify. It's a bummer- no fresh produce, etc. but they do have staples like almond butter (plus clean beauty products, some supplements, etc.).
Just thought I'd share and would love to know of any other similar websites and grocery cost-cutting tips. What do you do get healthy food at lower prices (ex. shop at Costco, get a weekly CSA box, shop at the farmers market)?
Maybe it seems funny to talk about groceries, but hey, every little bit saved helps, right? More money for other food, herbs, meds, and so on.
