Actually, it was pulled because it gave 30% of those that got it untreatable arthritis, and the consumers raised a huge fuss over it! Not to mention that you had to have several before immunity was supposedly there, and it was something that you had to get again and again - so the risks of side effects would have to be assumed to increase. They simply didn't do enough proper studies on it before releasing it to the public.
I would never encourage a person to use medicines intended for animals because they are not nearly as concerned about pesticides, and other adulterations in animals as they are with people.
