How long after a doxy dose can you get sunlight?

Basically if you're using doxy up until a point where you'll take a break due to being outside for a few days, how long should you be off doxy before getting sunlight?

Is it immediate like a day after taking doxy sunlight is fine or does it take more time?

I would think it is safe to take a few days to fully clear from your system. But not all people are effected by the sun.... your mileage may vary.

I found this with google, but you can always call your pharmacist.

The eilimination half life of doxycycline is between 16 to 22 hours (for healthy adults).

It takes 5.5 x elimination half life (hours) before a drug is completely cleared from your system.

So if we take the maximum elimination half life of 22 hours, it would take 121 hours i.e. approximately 5 days (5.5 x 22 hours) before the medicine is eliminated from your system.

I was on doxy for a few weeks in the summer...and I reacted badly (I am fair and burn easily anyway) one day just driving to town (10minutes) and back one sunny day.

We had planned a weekend away to a summer resort destination...so I stopped the doxy two days prior.
I did wear sunscreen...but was fine.

But you might want to give it longer than I did.
