Hi,

I’m wondering if anybody has personal experience with the below mentioned vaccines or did any research on safety/rate of aluminium excretion in adults:

Hepatitis A (HAVRIX 1440SKB-E/ML WWSP 1ML)

Diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, poliomyelitis (BOOSTRIX POLIO WWSP 0,5ML)

I tried to find studies but could not.

The typhoid vaccine (TYPHERIX 50MCG/ML WWSP 0,5ML) does not have any aluminium so I feel better about that one. But I’m really not sure if I want to go ahead with havrix and boostrix polio. I’m concerned about the side effects of aluminium and side effects in general, the things I read are horrible. I also read the topic called tetanus and gfields, I hope you feel better now.
By the way, I should get vaccinated due to travel.

Hep A vaccine can last up to 25 years. Maybe you are still covered???

Ask your health provider for a copy of the manufacturers ingredient list before you take the shot.

The whole cell pertussis vaccine (DPT), which is not used in the U.S. anymore but is still used in other countries, contains whole B. pertussis bacteria that have been inactivated with heat and chemicals, as well as an aluminum adjuvant and mercury preservative (thimerosal). The purified DTaP/Tdap vaccines packaged in single dose vials given to American babies since the late 1990’s, contain reduced bioactive pertussis toxin, less endotoxin and either no or reduced (trace amounts) of mercury, along with an aluminum adjuvant.

Depending upon the vaccine manufacturer, shots containing pertussis vaccine may contain varying amounts of inactivated pertussis toxin, filamentous hemagglutinin (FDA), pertactin, fimbriae, formaldehyde, polysorbate 80 (Tween 80), gluteraldehyde, 2-phenoxoyethanol, aluminum and thimerosal (mercury).

Other ingredients are included in larger combination shots that bundle pertussis, tetanus and diphtheria vaccines with polio, hepatitis B and/or HIB vaccines.

Well, I can tell you that I had to have a tetanus shot, and the only one I could get was combined with pertussis, and I had one heck of a time with it. It took two weeks of heavy detoxing and binder use to get the symptoms back down.

Since you have to have these for travel, be sure the trip is worth it to you, then get the vaccines as far ahead of time as you can - that way if you have a reaction, you can deal with it before you are expected to travel as well.

And let your LLMD know what you are needing to do - they may have some suggestions too.

I did the Hep A series because I was exposed to body fluids of humans and animals. I knew my baby vaccine was no longer good at age 40. It did not give me any problems whatsoever, but I was super healthy.

I had a DPT shot and it made my arm sore for a couple of days.... I mean SORE. Again, I was very healthy when I had this shot.

I have not had the typhoid shot.

I had a employer that demanded I have a flu shot for 2 years. Nothing happened with that either. I don't think I will need this shot again. I am not around children or in an environment where I could be exposed. I am the antibacterial queen of gas pumps, door handles and grocery carts.

And, because I have seen so many women suffer with shingles (and I am at that age) I have had the shingles shot. Nothing happened with that.

If I were to go traveling I would definitely make sure I had my shots. I was so very sick on my last trip to Mexico. That had nothing to do with needing a shot. That was just the water and way out of my control. They wash their vegetables in water. Do not order salads!!!

PeteZa - there is a vaccine for Hep A - that contaminates the water and food in Mexico - so you don't get sick.


Some people still don't get the vaccine though.

I have personal experience with the Hep A vaccine (although I'm not sure whether it was Havrix). I had a latent Lyme infection (unknown at the time) and a few months after I got the Hep A vaccine (after exposure from tainted fruit), my Lyme came out of hiding and made me so sick I could no longer function.

It took me a long time and a lot of research, but I became convinced that the vaccine played a major part in why I got so sick so quickly (literally overnight).

I don't know that it was the aluminum in the vaccine; I think it messed with my immune system to the point it could no longer handle the Lyme infection on its own, and then Lyme was able to take over.

Jasperilla, after I got bit by a tick, it was over consumption of alcohol with girlfriends that brought out my lyme symptoms.

You actually don't need vaccines for travel. CDC just recommends them. And we all know how ethical that org is! Lol! But seriously, most illnesses are easy enough to prevent and treat with healthy diet, good hygiene, and proper nutrients. What specifically are you concerned about? The reason these illnesses caused problems historically speaking is due to all of the above lacking. For instance, did you know measles is treated with high doses of vitamin A? So it's generally not a problem for individuals that have a diet with adequate vitamin A. It's deadly for those who are starving because of their deficiencies.

PeteZa – No, I’m not covered for Hep A as I had only one shot 10 years ago. I forgot to go back for the second one.

I already researched the ingredients of the vaccines available here that’s how I came up with these brand names. And these are the ones I had 10 years ago, I thought it’s best to stick with the ones that didn’t cause any bad reaction. However, 10 years ago I didn’t have Lyme so I may react differently this time. But I guess I could react differently this time anyway. None contain mercury but they do have aluminium except the typhoid one.

Jasperilla – Sorry to read that happened to you! It is possible that the vaccine played a part and this outcome is one of the things I’m especially concerned about. I don’t want Lyme to get worse.

Traveler – Sorry you had a bad time after the tetanus shot! I have decided to get only the typhoid vaccine as I don’t want any aluminium in my body. It can cause so many problems short and long term as well so I don’t chance it now I have Lyme. I searched the website of WHO, they didn’t report any diphtheria and pertussis in the past 10 years or so in the area. I will be very careful not to cut myself etc. to avoid tetanus and follow the advice to prevent hep A. I pay a lot of attention to hygiene anyway, wash my hands so many times, wipe mobile phone, door handles etc.
