I've sent two ticks for free testing in Arizona U. Last year I found a nymph crawling across the hardwoods in living room. Bagged it and sent it in just to see if ticks in the yard were carrying BB. Four weeks later I got an e-mail saying tick was not found in the bag. Go figure.
I removed an engorged tick from my bottom side last April 16, bagged it and mail it in next day. Hopefully I'll get results any day now. I'll post results.
Chapelle I also recently read that neighboring Umass Medical also offers testing for a fee. I'll do a google as well.
