Flagyl- uncomfortable laying down, etc.

Currently trying to ride what may be a flagyl herx. My stomach feels a little bloated, back pain and feels uncomfortable to even sit or lay down.

Gonna try to ride it out but I think I can't take flagyl. This is after the second dose. Also on the fourth day of doxy but that has not given me an effect like the flagyl seems to be.

flagyl is a very powerful antibiotic it kills lyme and parasites alike so its known to pack quite a punch. when my wife first started taking it along with her antibiotics it really knocked her out.

what's your dosing schedule? most LLMD's pulse it because its so strong.

Doxy 400mg 2ce a day, flagyl 3 days a week 500 mg twice a day, though i took 250 mg yesterday, 12 hours apart and the side effects after the second dose are too much. I may ask about alternatives.

I don't know anything about these abx, but I did want to say that I hope that you feel better soon! That's miserable to not be able to sit or lay down!! It may be hitting your liver a little too hard. Do be sure to call your LLMD.

I took a single Flagyl 500 mg and was down for 3 days. (It was an accident - I'm supposed to start it this week, but thought it was last week. yay Lyme brain! That being said, it was not too close to anything else, so there were no reaction problems) Anyway, I had a lot of back pain (had to sleep with a pillow between my knees), very exhausted and weak, and anxiety through the roof. Thought I was going to go NUTS last night.

Now I'm scared to start Flagyl for real this time. Got a busy month coming up, I don't have time for this ****. Going to see if I feel amazing for the next few days since its out of my system, and if all this misery WAS the Flagyl and not a regular Bad Day, I'm going to call the doc and ask about pulsing or getting something else.

The limits of my sanity are being tested this week. Wow. Wooooowwww, I hate Lyme!

Thanks. I called their office today. I was pretty surprised. My first dose nothing happened than a few hours after my second one it's like hell broke loose on my body. Hopefully I can find another cyst buster with less side effects.
