Chronic Lyme Disease: a Case Definition at Last

I am still new to all of this and have been reading as much as I can. The new to lyme thread is great and has really helped me understand what is happening and where to start.

I was dealing with graves disease since 2000 and finally found a great endocrinologist (after years of bad ones) who helped me with my thyroid.

When my thyroid levels became normal but none of my symptoms went away, I was referred to a neurologist who tested me for a bunch of stuff including lyme.

My lyme test (labcorp) came back positive for IGM band P41 and P23. Thankfully, my neurologist was on vacation when my test results came back and the health department called me because they couldn't reach him. That's how I found out I had lyme disease.

When I saw my neurologist, he dismissed me and told me I didn't have lyme and that everyone in NJ is positive for band 41. I didn't believe him and decided to take my health into my own hands. I contacted ILADS and got information on a doctor who has been treating me since the end of January.

I started with doxy for the first month (it was horrible) and then he added tinidazole but it made my rage worse so now I am taking minocycline and cefdinir. My rage is better but am still very emotional.
