For me, I found that my chronic research, thinking, and fretting about my conditions and all the things they *might* be and what *could* happen makes things much worse. I took a break from this forum for about nine months and tried to "detox" my brain from blogs, podcasts, YouTube, etc.
Of course, I'm not suggesting that completely ignoring everything is a panacea, but the effects of chronic stress cannot be overstated. Robert Sapolsky has written and lectured extensively on the matter.

I so agree with this. Stressing about
lyme can actually make it worse. I found that to be my case when I was treating. New and different symptoms constantly were popping up and I would panic and wonder if I should call the doctor.
I had to get to the space where I said to myself, "it's just lyme" when anything arose.
But, I did all the work, like detoxing, eating well and sleeping, that I could to help my treatment along.
