Hi Dave -
It's great that you have some confirmation through testing.
The best heavy mtls detoxing is probably chlorella - natural, and easy to modify intensity. But, if you don't have good methylation/detox pathways (DNA mutations like MTHFR), and if you don't have a good detox protocol implemented, you can create bigger problems by drawing heavy mtls out faster than you can remove them, which might allow them to get reabsorbed into tissues. So start very very slowly and carefully. Lots of info online about it.
I don't trust my detoxing, entirely, and while I'm doing so much better now, I had a bad experience w/ chlorella so I decided to go even slower. Now I just use a parsley or cilantro tincture and a gut binder, which I really love (pure cholestyramine). Both of my tinctures are organic but there are issues w/ both of these tinctures commonly grown in soils that contain heavy-metals so that could be a drawback. I THINK mine are OK but jus want to caution people not to always go for the cheap stuff.
I believe I'm successful based on two other heavy metals scares I had. One was about 6 yrs ago I had amalgams removed from 4 teeth w/out any precautions, whatsoever. This was before I knew anything about anything and just had a regular DDS remove them and I know she didn't take precautions. So I had testing done about 6 mos. after that and no hvy mtls showed up (even though I had good symptoms indicating issues). I started on a detox anyway, went well.
Then years later I started eating this awesome organic, GMO-free, raw food powder and my hair started falling out. I then learned through the Amazon.com comments on this product that the rice had been sourced out of a place in China w/ hvy mtls in the soils. I stopped eating it, hair stopped falling out.
So I think my detox is OK but sticking with the gentler chelators for now.
And binders are essential w/ heavy metals - bentonite clay, activated charcoal, psyllium husk, etc. And my favorite - pure cholestyramine.
Hope that's helpful - I know others are doing different protocols so will be good to read their ideas.
