I did not herx and hubby has not herxed, cross your fingers, yet. He has been treating since November. I don't think he will... he is more disciplined in his eating than I am.
We both began detoxing years before we ever got lyme. Lemon water is a daily thing in our home. We both drink vinegar daily and have for years.... Kombucha is bought by the case in our home and we have to go to the store every 6 days to buy another case if we limit our consumption to only 1 a day. By the way the Heart Beet one is awesome, but we do love Multi Green.
We both use a loofa in our showers and have for years. That is a exfoliating sponge type thing.
Cruciferous vegetables are eaten daily at our home and have been for years. Both of us love Kale, raw or cooked.
Daily exercise is something we have always done.
So when we got lyme we were already doing a lot of detoxing even though we just were doing things for our body and did not know it was called detoxing. We just called it healthy.
Now for both of us we did herbs as our protocol. We both have very little stress in our home. And, probably the biggest thing is we both treated quickly after being bit. We did not have lyme for years before we treated. It was only weeks.
We both used Beyond Balance Tox Ease GL. I have no proof that it worked as a non herxing tincture because we used it continually while treating.
We both also are not sick people. Our immune systems function really well and neither of us are young.
I just think all the things were lined up for us. We also did low and slow on the herbs and we only added in one at a time. We got that herb to max dose (probably quicker than most people) and then added in the next herb.
Gosh I forgot to add -- Hubby NEVER eats sugar. Me? once in awhile. No ice cream,
cookies, absolutely no box food. We eat organic, at a price. Very little bread and when we do eat bread it is quality sourdough. We only eat out for special occasions and generally regret doing so. I love being waited on and someone else cooking, but it is never the same quality as what I make.... this is sad since I love a break from cooking.
