Basically I'm currently on doxy and I can't tolerate flagyl which I was also prescribed and I'm a little nervous to try rifmapin as I heard it can raise your heart rate a lot which is a side effect I don't tolerate well with medications.
With that said, until my next appointment I may just be on doxy. Is there anything else I can add to it to enhance it's effects on lyme?
Thanks
Xelaetaks - I hadn't heard that Rifampin raises the heart rate. I looked it up, and it does say on this site it can cause fast heartbeat.

/www.drugs.com/sfx/doxycycline-side-effects.htmlThe side effect lists on most of these antibiotics are extensive.
Are you just wanting to focus on lyme treatment? There are options to pair with doxy.
I've seen Ceftin with Doxy.
Also, biaxin and doxy.
If you're looking for something to for cyst busting to replace Flagyl - have you thought about
tinidazole?
