Yes, I believe that is the primary reason. But also the huge array of it's benefits Buhner lists from it, including helping my immune function. It's like one of those herbs that sounds too good to be true, but I trust Buhner, and I'm handling it pretty well, so I find it a very important aspect of my treatment.
If inflammation is the body's response to an invasion, and Lyme comes along and helps battle the invasion, thus lessening the pain of inflammation, kudos to it.
I know I'm over simplifying. I just know it's been a big help, but like all of my herbs, I have to stick with them with no planned finish line in sight.
