Hi, im new to your website, but in desperate search of a LLMD. I live in Baltimore, Md but after being very sick for almost 11 months, if i cant find 1 within my vicinity, im willing 2 travel to surrounding counties. I saw posts about a Dr in Germantown area. Any help will be greatly appreciated. All iD drs ive seen have done nothing 4 me except crush my hopes of ever getting well. Ive also found a dr that i was going 2 see, but just found out toinight tgat he has had his license suspended multiple times over past 20 yrs, he doesnt take any insurance, only cash, & with the medical license suspensions, it makes me leary of him being full of crap & filling me full of false hopes. Plz any suggestions you can give for the Maryland area, close 2 baltimore or not, Id greatly appreciate. Thank you

Many doctors in this area do not take insurance, because of the insurance companies fighting with IDSA vs ILADS treatment guidelines. And many have been under investigation/ suspension.

There is a Maryland Lyme group on facebook where you can ask more specific questions about Dr.s in the area. Let me switch to my pc and I'll email you privately.

I'm sure a mod will be along shortly to officially welcome you and direct you to the "New to Lyme?" thread with lots of valuable information. It will help you understand why doctors don't take insurance, as well as what to expect with treatment.

As Rikky said, if you can enable an email address on your profile, I can send you my list of docs in the area who treat Lyme.

To add your email - Click on 'My Profile'....'Edit Profile'...then add your email address ... scroll down and click on "show my email..then go to bottom of the page and click "submit"

Ok, i have added my email, if you all have time to email me i so appreciate it. I now get why they dont take ins, but it sure isnt fair 2 any of us suffereing esp those like my self eho really cant afford anything otger than using my ins. But yes plz plz email me names of some drs & thank you from bottom of my lyme diseased heart sad

Also, has anyone worked w a llmd who had his license suspended in past 4 unconvential treatments?

I sent you my list, but none accept insurance. They do provide "superbills" with diagnostic and procedure codes that you can submit on your own as "out of network" claims.
