I'm so sorry I didn't see this sooner, Patty! Anytime that your anxiety is overwhelming, take the tincture in hot water - this acts to make it more of an immediate effect.
I did start off on lower doses (5 drops I think? It's been years!), but did ramp up pretty quickly. For me, I need two droppers full every morning, and I take 3 droppers full every evening to keep things going smoothly for me. If I have issues with anxiety at any other point in the day, I take another dose. I know that for me, I can take up to 4 doses a day if needed. As with all things, you need to find your own dosage, but that should help guide you some.
Using too much will possibly increase malaise - you seem to not care or have the energy to do much of anything, but I've not had anything more than that happen.
